Our Manufacturing Processes
Our goal is to be a reliable technical partner, capable of managing complex machining operations while ensuring verified quality, operational reliability, and on-time delivery.
For this reason, every order follows a controlled and fully traceable production process at every stage, from quotation through to shipment of the finished product, in compliance with high quality standards and customer-specific requirements.
Co.F.La.M. operates under a quality management system compliant with ISO 9001 and applies procedures and inspections in accordance with applicable reference standards, including ISO 9712 where applicable.
Order Management
Every order is managed through an integrated digital system, which assigns a unique identification number to each project.
All required technical documentation is associated with each project, including manufacturing drawings, material specifications, dimensions, heat numbers, quantities, production cycles, and operating procedures.
This approach ensures full traceability, efficient organization, and compliance with the customer’s technical specifications.
Final Testing and Certification
Every finished product undergoes a thorough final inspection, including:
- Dimensional inspections carried out using regularly calibrated measuring instruments or coordinate measuring machines (CMMs);
- Non-destructive testing (NDT), including dye penetrant testing, ultrasonic testing, and magnetic particle testing.
At this stage, the completeness of the technical documentation and quality certificates is also verified, ensuring that any non-conformities have been properly recorded, assessed, and addressed.
Machining and Quality Control
During production, Co.F.La.M. carries out high-precision machining and, where required, also coordinates heat treatments, galvanizing, chrome plating, and non-destructive testing, working exclusively with qualified and regularly monitored suppliers.
Each mechanical component enters the production cycle following an incoming material inspection, aimed at verifying its physical and chemical integrity through visual inspections and spectrometric analysis. Only materials that meet the required standards proceed to the subsequent machining stages.
Throughout the entire production process, intermediate quality checks are carried out by both production operators and quality control personnel, ensuring precision, dimensional conformity, and consistent results.
Protection, Packaging and Shipping
Before shipping, each mechanical component is treated with anti-corrosion protective oils, labelled, and packaged according to the type of transportation required.
This ensures that the product reaches the customer in perfect condition, ready for use or for subsequent assembly operations.
